Both are breathable plant fibers, but they cool differently. Eucalyptus lyocell is smooth and breathable. Bamboo viscose has naturally hollow fibers that actively wick moisture and release heat — which matters most in humid conditions, where the air can't absorb your sweat for you. If you sleep in air-conditioning in a dry climate, either works. If you run hot in humidity, bamboo is the stronger tool.
This is the exact problem the sheets are built for. Bamboo wicks moisture off your skin and evaporates it instead of trapping it against you the way cotton does, so you stay dry and cool instead of waking up damp. It won't cure the cause of night sweats, but it changes what the night feels like.
